CURRENT WORK
I am conducting a project (with the amazing Prof. Angela Passarelli, PhD), exploring how coaching can help working women transition into motherhood. We are conducting interviews with coaches (click here for more information) and will interview mothers in the future.
I am also exploring what I call "negative assumptions" - our beliefs about what courses of action will result in negative consequences for us - their stickiness (left to our own devices, we never test them), their consequences (they are tremendous), and coaches' ability to help us examine them by designing low-risk tests.
As Diana K. Trust Associate Professor in Leadership Development at Simmons University, I am developing an undergraduate course on coach approach to leadership and a study that will examine the difference such a course can make for young women leaders.
ONLINE SIMULATION
Organizational behavior simulation: Leveraging networks, Harvard Business Press. - Supports classroom or workshop learning about structural properties of social networks.

I have been conducting research on work-life balance of professionals since 2003. While my publications below may be more academic than is useful for most coaching clients, I am happy to share with you any that you may wish to read.
